Don't you think you're being a little rough on the author. Seems to me he's "trying" to be a slightly satirical about how the original xbox was developed. Reading your comment makes you come off as someone trying a little bit too hard to appear intelligent. You probably wrote that comment then used a thesaurus to change a few words into something appearing more intelligent.
I could have said "pretentious" but you wouldn't know why I said you were being pretentious. So let me rephrase what I said then, you do not come off as being pretentious, but appears desperate in your need to seem intelligent. You remind me of recent university grads writing their first article for a well established journal, their articles are always convoluted and distinguishable in comparison to their experienced peers.
